Our Mission
At Chesapeake Girls Baseball, we are dedicated to providing girls ages 8 to 18 with the opportunity to play the game they love. Too often, girls are denied that opportunity because baseball is still viewed as a "boys' sport." We are committed to changing that perception by creating an environment where girls are welcomed, supported, and encouraged to pursue their passion for baseball.
Why do we do what we do? Because no girl should ever be told she can't play the sport she loves simply because of her gender. Every girl deserves the chance to step onto the field with confidence, develop her skills, and compete alongside others who share her passion. At Chesapeake Girls Baseball, we are breaking down barriers, challenging outdated stereotypes, and empowering girls to believe in themselves both on and off the field.
Our vision extends beyond providing playing opportunities. We are committed to advancing gender equity in baseball by creating meaningful pathways for girls to play, coach, mentor, and lead within the sport. We strive to build a community where every player feels supported, valued, and inspired to reach her full potential.
In just a few short months, we have witnessed the incredible impact that dedicated supporters, volunteers, and sponsors can have on growing girls' baseball in our region. Their generosity has helped create opportunities that simply did not exist before. Every day, we hear inspiring stories of girls who have overcome obstacles, challenged expectations, and remained committed to the game they love. Those stories fuel our mission and remind us why this work matters.

Our Community
We are proud to be a part of the local sports community and extend a welcome to any girl that would like to join us in playing baseball with other girls. We welcome girls from all across the country to be a part of the Blue Crab family.

At Chesapeake Girls Baseball (CGB), we are committed to ensuring that every girl feels a sense of belonging. We collaborate with various partners to achieve our mission of providing a supportive environment where girls can play baseball and connect with peers who share their passion, free from the intimidation of being the only girl or one of just a few on the team.
We firmly believe in the importance of female role models for these young athletes, and all of our coaches embody this ethos. Their shared commitment fosters an encouraging atmosphere that empowers our players and inspires them to pursue their love for the game.
